Workshop Duration: 4 Hours CPD Points: 4 (pending) Prerequisites: None (Module 1 recommended but not required) This workshop aims to convey complex anatomy into practical coaching knowledge. Participants will learn how muscles actually work in movement (not just origins and insertions), understand energy systems for programming, and translate the science into clear coaching cues. Perfect for beginners or experienced trainers wanting deeper understanding. This workshop bridges the gap between textbook anatomy and real-world application, including understanding anatomical variation and why "perfect form" varies by individual. Learning Outcomes Identify major muscle groups and their functions in movement patterns Explain the three planes of movement and their training applications Describe energy systems and match them to training goals Demonstrate how muscles change function through range of motion Translate anatomical knowledge into clear client cues Apply acute vs chronic adaptation principles to program design Recognize anatomical variations that affect movement patterns Understand why "perfect technique" is individual, not universal Knowing where muscles are, what joints they cross and what actions they perform is the BARE MINIMUM to understand exercise selection. But once you do then exercise modification (as not all femurs are the same length and not every body fits nicely into every piece of equipment) becomes easy. Also, your “inactive” Glute Med isn’t responsible for all your ailments and standing on a bosu ball doing squats isn't going to help you with balance.
