Movement Assessment & Screening
How to assess movement quality, identify limitations for every client.
Service Description
Workshop Duration: 4 Hourss CPD Points: 4 (pending) Prerequisites: Module 2 recommended (can explain anatomy of compensations) This hands-on workshop teaches you how to assess movement quality, identify limitations, and build appropriate starting points for every client - whether working 1:1 or with groups of 20+. We focus on practical observation as everyone is coming to the fitness world with some movement limitation or previous injury. Participants learn to observe movement under scaled loading to direct intelligent programming decisions. Spot issues before they become injuries and adapt training to individual needs - even in group settings. Learning Outcomes Demonstrate and assess the 6 fundamental movement patterns Identify common compensations and their likely causes Apply appropriate regressions and progressions for each pattern Use load as an assessment tool, not just bodyweight screening Differentiate between mobility and stability limitations Build movement-based programs from assessment findings Conduct efficient group screening for 5-20+ participants Design warm-ups that double as movement assessments This module rejects the outdated "fix before you train" model as it turns out; Training is Fixing. We assess to program intelligently, not to create fear of movement. Updated to include practical group screening strategies for community-based fitness delivery. Special Features: Assessment template sheet 6-month video review access Group screening protocols Warm-up assessment strategies "Stop searching for dysfunction. Start building function." - PURE Movement Education
