Programme Design & Periodisation
Teaching trainers evidence-based programme design.
Service Description
Workshop Duration: 5 Hours CPD Points: 5 (pending) Prerequisites: Modules 2-3 (anatomy & assessment) essential This covers evidence-based programme design using concepts from leading researchers and practitioners. Participants learn to apply volume landmarks (MEV/MAV/MRV), manage stimulus-to-fatigue ratios, and periodise training for continuous progress. Learn principles that create results for any client at any level. Don’t throw exercises arbitrarily together because “vibes”, or that’s how your favourite fitness influencer does it. Programme systematically that balances stimulus with recovery, progresses intelligently, and prevents the plateaus that kill client adherence. You'll learn why "more is better" is wrong, why "confusing the muscle" is nonsense, and how to create programs that work when life gets messy. Learning Outcomes Apply volume landmarks (MEV, MAV, MRV) to program design Select exercises based on stimulus-to-fatigue ratio Implement appropriate periodisation models for different clients Design programs that autoregulate based on readiness Progress and deload training intelligently Balance frequency, intensity, and volume for optimal results Adapt programs for real-world constraints and preferences I'm sick of conditioning routines being labelled as strength, yes I guess you will get stronger eventually but there is a far better way. This is a science and an art and here is the framework of how to blend both. Too many trainers throw exercises together based on what looks hard or what their favourite influencer posted, instead of understanding the actual dose-response relationship that drives results. Special Features: Personal volume landmark assessment 12-week program template library SFR exercise database access "Fatigue masks fitness. Smart programming reveals it." - PURE Movement Education
